Board of Advisors
The Graduate School of Journalism's Board of Advisors, made up of nationally prominent media executives and news professionals, provides support and curricular advice to the school and Dean Shepard. Board members, listed alphabetically, are: Roz Abrams is a local news anchor at WCBS-TV in New York City. Merrill Brown, former editor-in-chief of MSNBC.com, is a consultant on new media. He was a reporter for The Washington Post, founding editor of Channels magazine, and editor of Court TV. Connie Chung is a television journalist and anchor who has worked for CBS, NBC, ABC, and CNN networks. Michael Oreskes is the editor of the International Herald Tribune in Paris, which is owned by The New York Times. He has served as assistant managing editor and Washington bureau chief for The Times. Norman Pearlstine is the editor-in-chief of Time, Inc. Prior to that, he was the executive editor of The Wall Street Journal. Anna Perez is the executive vice president of communications at NBC. Rosanna Rosada is the publisher of El Diario/La Prensa in New York City. Howard Rubenstein is the president of Rubenstein Associates, a public relations firm. Arthur Siskind, the legal counsel for News Corp., is special advisor to News Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch. Mark Whitaker is the editor of Newsweek and president of the American Society of Magazine Editors. David Westin is the president of ABC News. Mathew Winkler is the editor-in-chief of Bloomberg News and a former reporter at The Wall Street Journal. Mortimer Zuckerman is the chairman and publisher of the New York Daily News and U.S. News & World Report magazine. |
